New Extension at Boston Bay Family Health

Work has begun on the exciting new extension at Boston Bay Family Health Practice, with footings being poured this week.

The Boston Bay Family Health Practice is a locally owned family health centre operating in Port Lincoln since 2009. Starting as a single doctor clinic, the practice has rapidly grown into staffing multiple GP’s and midwifes to offer a range of community services.

The current practice is located centrally in Port Lincoln Community uitlising in a heritage character limestone home, that has been recently converted into a functional practice space with multiple offices. To match the practice’s growth, a new extension will be built to add extra rooms for more practicing doctors and services.

The new extension will be adding an extra 420m to the existing building. Construction will be ongoing over the next few months, whilst services are still being provided at the clinic as per normal.

We are excited to accept the challenges that this extension creates. Matching a new extension to a heritage style building will require skills and expertise. We will be sourcing local subcontractors in a range of fields to accomplish a fluid and elegant balance of old & new.
